Guest House

Energy

All landings are lit with automatic energy saving light bulbs.
New energy efficient condensing boilers were installed in 2006.
All radiators are thermostatically controlled.
The heating is zoned so that it can be shut down in parts of the guest house when the heating is not required.
Double glazed windows have been installed in rooms 1A, 3, 6 and the dining room in 2005.
Double glazed windows have been installed in rooms 1, 4 and 7 in 2007.

Waste

We recycle everything that the council will recycle through kerbside collection, currently this is cans, bottles and newspapers.

Transport

The day to day running of the guest house does not require use of a vehicle.
Most of our supplies are purchased from Harlech Foods, a local company that delivers.
Our fresh food is collected on foot from the Co-Op.  The Co-Op has won the 2007 Business Commitment to the environment award.
